VIDEO INTERVIEW OR…
We sometimes use short video interviews as part of the initial assessment process – they’re quick and convenient, and you can do them on your phone or laptop.
Instead of a video interview, we may arrange a short telephone interview. We’ll discuss your talents and career goals and see if there’s a rapport there.
If you impress in the video/phone interview stage, you’ll be invited to a hosted virtual assessment centre. It’s a chance to show us your people skills and personal qualities – and you can learn more about Softcat and meet some of your potential future colleagues.
Do well at your assessment centre, and we’ll invite you to a webex/vitual interview with a Deputy/Team Leader. It helps to confirm that we are definitely a good match for each other.
FINAL PHONE INTERVIEW
You’re almost there. You’ll talk on the phone to the Softcat Sales Manager for your office. The interview digs deeper into your character, skills and career goals.

We’ll let you know almost instantly whether you’ll be offered a permanent role at Softcat. You’ll start with fellow new-joiners on one of our regular intake dates across the year.
