Empowering Employee Wellbeing and Benefits at Softcat

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the employee benefits within Softcat. This includes health and wellbeing, core and voluntary benefits. The Benefits Specialist ensures that benefits are well communicated, implemented and within budget.

 

As a Benefits Specialist, you'll be responsible for: 

  •  Overseeing administration, design, and delivery of employee benefits
  • Ensuring benefit plans comply with HMRC rules and work with Payroll for compliance in build and processing
  • Drafting benefit communications, hosting onboarding sessions, and maintaining policies, processes, and brochures related to benefits and Health & Wellbeing
  • Managing relationships with benefit providers, brokers, and tools, resolve issues, discuss changes, and highlight key issues to HR Services & Benefits Manager
  • Preparing and distributing reports on benefits utilization, costs, and trends, and provide analysis and recommendations for plan improvements
  • Developing and conducting benefits sessions for new joiners and employees as requested by departments

 

We'd love you to have 

  • High level of ownership, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Experience in benefits design, administration, and delivery, with a strong understanding of HMRC rules and working with benefit platforms and tools would be essential
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in producing and manipulating management data to inform decisions, along with excellent prioritization, organization, and multitasking skills
  • An ability to identify areas for improvement in processes and team ways of working

  • Hybrid working –days in the office and 3 days working from home
