Join our Bid Centre Team

Success. The Softcat Way.

At Softcat we want to support you at every stage of your career. Whether that means stepping up into a more senior role, taking on more responsibilities in your current role or broadening your skills and experiences in a different department, we encourage all our employees to develop and grow with us.

You'll be working closely with experienced Bid Managers to support the bid process' operational, administrative, and compliance aspects while developing the skills to step into bid management.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting their career who has great attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn.

As Bid Executive, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing operational and administrative support across multiple bids.
  • Maintaining trackers, manages the shared inbox, updates the content library and ensures version control and filing accuracy.
  • Assisting with research, formatting and document preparation.
  • Acting as the coordination hub for the bid team, managing diaries, scheduling reviews, and ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Sourcing content from SMEs, keeps the content library current, and maintains data for reporting and KPIs.

We'd love you to have

  • Detail-oriented – you spot the small things that make a big difference.
  • Organised & proactive – you can juggle multiple tasks and keep things on track.
  • A fast learner – you pick things up quickly and enjoy figuring things out.
  • A clear communicator – you're confident engaging with colleagues in meetings and over email.
  • Comfortable with tech – you're confident using Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and picking up new tools.

We also acknowledge that the confidence gap and imposter syndrome are a real thing and can get in the way of us meeting fantastic talent, so please don't hesitate to apply – we would love to hear from you!

Work in a way that works for you

We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns:

  • Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, and 2 days working from home
  • Working flexible hours - flexing the times you start and finish during the day
  • Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs

View the flexible working policy on People Central for more details.
