The Commercial Enablement team sits within the Commercial Engagement team as part of the Vendor and Cloud Alliance restructure. Made up of Commercial Enablement and Commercial Programmes, the team ensures the right vendors, investments, and initiatives are activated at the right time. Commercial Enablement optimises vendor engagement with sales, while Commercial Programmes provides structure, governance, and measurement to drive clear commercial impact for Softcat, our vendors, and our customers.

Enabling sales through purposeful vendor engagement
 
As a Commercial Enablement Executive, you will act as the link between vendors and sales, translating vendor priorities into timely, relevant engagement aligned to Softcat's technology towers. Working closely with Alliance Managers, sales teams, and vendors, they deliver targeted enablement plans that clarify solution value, support effective selling, and drive meaningful commercial impact.

As a Commercial Enablement Executive, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Executing vendor engagement plans and Joint Business Plans in line with the Vendor Framework, working closely with Alliance Managers to align priorities and initiatives.
  • Creating and leading clear, consistent value propositions aligned to vendor frameworks, Softcat technology propositions, and GTMs.
  • Planning and delivering vendor sales enablement, including training, incentives, third‑party sessions, and focus days, aligned with L&D programmes and Sales Enablement.
  • uilding strong relationships with sales, partner marketing, vendors, and SMEs to ensure messaging is relevant, engaging, and drives buy‑in.
  • Reviewing progress and performance through regular planning and review meetings, sharing outcomes with the Commercial Enablement Manager and Alliance Managers.
