You are a seasoned Developer with a solid grasp of Python, React, automation, and system integration. Your drive to develop complex software solutions is matched by your enthusiasm for tackling challenging environments that demand innovation and process automation. Skilled in both technical development and leading initiatives, you possess a rare combination of analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate understands the importance of not only advancing development but also addressing and resolving technical debt and system-level issues. You value the role of maintaining system health and view the resolution of system-level challenges as essential to long-term success and operational efficiency

 

As a Developer, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Develop and Refine Systems: Design, code, and refine complex programs and scripts with an emphasis on Python, including Django framework, to develop internal and external applications and tools. This will speed up onboarding, enhance customer engagements, and create value for customers.
  • Automation and Integration: Lead automation and system integration initiatives within the business, working closely with Solution Architects, Management, and engineering teams. This includes developing automation standards, performing PoC testing, and integrating systems with both internal applications and 3rd party products.
  • Release and Deployment: Oversee release and deployment procedures, ensuring the use of advanced tools and strategies. Maintain and improve application support processes and contribute to the development of solution architectures.
  • Mentoring and Training: Mentor colleagues and provide training on automation technologies, solutions, DevOps/SRE best practices, and the use of tools like Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Define, manage, and document requirements for change initiatives, creating comprehensive support runbooks and generating performance reports. Also responsible for diagnosing faults and generating system integration reports.
  • Providing 3rd Line Support: Offer third-line support for the tools and platforms we develop and support, ensuring their stability and addressing any issues that arise to maintain high-quality service levels.

 

We'd love you to have

  • Technical Expertise: Expertise in Python with working experience in the Django framework. Proficiency in React for building user interfaces is highly desirable.
  • Automation Skills: Experience in automating and orchestrating using APIs, managing orchestration platforms, and working with open-source software. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and common CI/CD frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Circle CI, Git Pipelines).
  • System Integration Experience: Hands-on experience in systems integration, testing, fault diagnosis, and working on automation projects.
  • Architectural Acumen: Ability to contribute to the development of solution architectures, evaluate alternatives, and make significant architectural decisions.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with the ability to think outside the box and solve complex problems.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, with a strong focus on process and workflow automation to increase the efficiency of internal departments and DevOps teams.
