The Softcat Cloud Alliance Microsoft team that is made up of roughly 50 individuals across sales and operations from both Microsoft and AWS. The Microsoft team includes Product and Licensing Specialists, Azure specialists, Surface specialists and Customer Success Managers. This team drives the Microsoft programmes and services and these specialist areas support our customers from beginning to end of their Softcat and Microsoft journey.

Support & Execute our Microsoft Programmes

This individual will be working alongside the Microsoft Programme Manager to support with the management of the Microsoft programmes and the execution of the business plan and priorities.


As a Microsoft Business Manager, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Building an understanding of all Microsoft programmes and working with Corporate, Public Sector & Indirect Microsoft team to drive these
  • Proactive approach to identify new business opportunities and maintaining the relationship between Softcat & Microsoft
  • Managing the pipeline proactively with regular communication with Microsoft and set expectations on the activities to both our Sales team and customers
  • Developing and management of marketing activities to support delivery of Joint Business Plan
  • Supporting the running of the events and claiming of the marketing & incremental funds from Microsoft


What we need from you 

  • A passion for technology and how it can enable businesses
  • The proactivity to take ownership of your own business area
  • Previous experience in Sales within the IT sector is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple business areas
  • The ability to build rapport quickly with both internal and external stakeholders
