As a Unified Communications Engineer, your role will involve supporting the implementation and delivery of Softcat's unified communications environment, working in conjunction with our Managed Service providers and wider IT team

As a Unified Communications Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and optimisation of Softcat's unified communications environment.

As a Unified Communications Engineer, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Manage, maintain and optimise Softcat's Unified Communication environments to ensure seamless operations
  • Create and maintain high quality technical documentation, along with delivering internal training for IT Teams
  • Leverage your expertise to identify root causes of technical issues and propose effective solutions
  • Act as an escalation point for end user issues relating to the unified communication environments, working to established service level agreements.

 

We'd love you to have 

  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365/Teams administration, including troubleshooting, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Proficient in cloud-based telephony systems such as 8x8, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex
  • Experience working with collaboration platforms, e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, Webex
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
