This is your opportunity to join Softcat as our HPE Alliance manager. The HPE Alliance team is well established within Softcat and provides the opportunity to work with a top tier vendor that has existing established relationships and a highly credible engagement model. The primary focus of the team is to ensure the large Softcat sales force are enabled to articulate the benefits of HPE technology and where it differentiates compared to the competition.
The team proactively engage with the HPE Partner Account Management and sales teams on a daily basis ensuring Softcat and HPE are well positioned to be successful in any joint engagement.

You will be responsible for promoting Softcat into HPE at sales and executive levels. With your team, you would be expected to proactively work with the specialist and general sales teams across all offices, and with the wider HPE partner management team members to ensure Softcat are in the best position to uncover new opportunities and develop and close existing opportunities.
A large part of the role will be coordinating and executing joint marketing campaigns to drive opportunity generation. You will be accountable for maintaining Softcat’s position as a top 3 reseller with HPE and ensuring that the business continues to grow. The scope of the roll may fall into having to complete objectives outside of region to facilitate customer requirements. You will also be required to present internally and externally to executive stakeholders on the position of the business.
This is a management role with direct reports and a wider virtual team.
What we need from you
- Experience in a similar role is desirable
- People management experience or potential strong capability
- The capability to build relationships quickly and mature them over time
- Have the appetite and desire to learn and take on new challenges
- Confidence to operate when required at a senior level
- Be a proactive, motivated and highly driven individual with the ability to grasp both the HPE product sets and the structure and processes behind selling them
- Strong organisational skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Credibility, with an entrepreneurial edge, to own and run a Top 3 vendor business
