This exciting role is to work within theSpecialist Sales team here at Softcat, who are responsible to our customers and account managers for providing a range of technology-based solutions, including IT Asset Management solutions.The key focus of this team is to keep abreast of what’s happening in the ITAM market to understand how this may impact our customers, and how best we can deliver value.

Your role

As an ITAM Sales Executive, you will be working to identify and qualify Asset Intelligence/ITAM opportunities within new customers, driving new business, as well as maximising gross profit within our existing customer base. You will work collaboratively with sales teams, including both Account Managers and Team Leaders, to develop an overall territory and account plan to maximize opportunities and generate business with new and existing clients.

This is a junior-level role, so support and training will be provided.

What we need from you

  • IT sales experience would be advantageous (12 months+)
  • Basic knowledge of software licensing models
  • Keen eye for detail and work well within a team. You should possess a logical and thorough approach to work and be comfortable and confident in taking on an advisory role for customers. You should also be self-motivated and commercially aware
  • Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with peers and clients
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Solid problem-solving and consultative skills
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
