Your role

As a Services Solution Manager (SSM), you will be part of a fantastic team who support our Solutions Sales Specialists and Account Managers to assess, design, manage, and coordinate customer solutions, that involve a complex services requirement throughout the presales phase. You’ll also be the person to connect that opportunity into our project and programme management team and the service operations and delivery teams if/when the customer goes ahead. You will be responsible for managing the process of creation and communication of the solution in response to customer and prospect requirements, including the service design detail, resource coordination and fully detailed costs. Providing detailed responses to service solution requirements as part of a formal tender process and contributing to the building of new, resilient and repeatable service models, ensuring that any new information gained is fed back through Services Portfolio Management to the business.

What we need from you
  • Substantial experience in Solution Management, Service Architecture, Solution Architecture or general IT Management
  • Demonstrable experience as a key figure in the development of customer solutions, leveraging both professional services and support and managed services
  • You must have an understanding in our main key focus areas – Networking, Managed Support, Managed Infrastructure and Managed Security
  • Understanding of a typical SIAM structure in relation to the design of support and managed services
  • Experience of working within bid teams in the production of proposals for service-based solutions
  • Excellent understanding of service methodologies and approaches, preferably with some previous operational management or technical experience
  • Strong commercial background including contract negotiation skills and demonstrable understanding of the costs associated with the provisions of broad annuity services solutions
