Your Role
As a Software Licence Desk Consultant, you will be expected to proactively support a major client within the ITAM Managed Service to optimise and manage their software assets. You will work as part of a team delivering world class Software Asset Management services. Working within the Asset Intelligence Professional Services Team undertaking daily function, technical and business orientated tasks in support of a large organisational customer in the forefront of the automotive industry. You will be required to work as part of a team, you will be involved in the management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing. You will be responsible for utilise an industry leading asset management solution to proactively manage client’s software and hardware estate via gather data and provide proactive asset optimisation monthly and ad hoc reporting.

What we need from you

  • Previous exposure to software and hardware infrastructure and terminology
  • Experience of software vendors’ complex licensing models (at least 2 Tier 1 type vendors)
  • Experience analysing licensing positions, and identifying optimisation opportunities
  • Experience working with vendors to establish agreement renewals
  • You will also be expected to have, or work towards the Microsoft SAM MCP qualification
  • Experience working with Software licence management solutions (Snow Software would be an advantage)
  • Wide knowledge of license management, ITIL processes and discovery tools
  • Experience with building effective licence positions
  • FTC 18 Months fixed term contract with the possibility to go permanent
