As Softcat continues to support our UK customer's overseas technology requirements, our multinational team is expanding to provide further assistance with our international alliances, with distribution and vendor partnerships. As the US office has seen significant development, especially through our partnership with Ingram Micro US, we plan to further expand our multinational alliances function to continue to facilitate growth.

Partner with the best

As the Ingram Micro USA Alliance Manager, you will develop and manage Softcat's partnerships with technology vendors via Ingram Micro in the US market. You will work closely with these partners to build strong relationships and develop joint go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction, including maximising partner programme benefits, developing vendor certifications, and supporting various sales opportunities. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, as well as a good understanding of the US IT market and technology landscape.

 

As our US Alliance Manager, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Developing and executing Softcat and Ingram's partner alliance strategy in the US market, working closely with key vendors to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding and producing documentation of key vendors' regional sales strategies and partner programmes to drive revenue growth
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for Softcat's relationship with Ingram Micro and vendors
  • Identifying new partnership opportunities and work with Softcat's Multinational Leadership team evaluating and prioritising them based on strategic fit and potential impact
  • Staying current with the latest trends and developments in the US IT market and guiding Softcat's internal teams on how to best leverage these trends to drive business growth

 

What we need from you

  • A good understanding of the US IT market and technology landscape with experience working with technology vendors and distributors
  • Proven track record of developing and managing successful partnerships that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with key partners
  • Excellent commercial experience and awareness with strong analytical skills to track and report on key performance metrics
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel domestically, as needed
